Havahart 1020 - Trappola Stile Professionale con Due Por Il prodotto risulta efficacissimo con i topolini di taglia piccola e media, diciamo di lunghezza max 10 cm + eventuale coda. La costruzione permette di prendere la gabbia in maniera sicura anche con il roditore dentro. In prima istanza armare la gabbia risulta un vero gioco da equilibrista, ma fatta la prima volta poi diventa facile. I fermi delle porte basculanti assicurano che il roditore una volta dentro non possa scappare. All'interno della gabbia il roditore rimane abbastanza tranquillo. In cinque giorni di utilizzo ho catturato 5 topi - 3 di taglia piccola - 2 un po più grossi ( tutti liberati in campagna) utilizzando come esca le crocchette del gatto.Ho tolto una stella per via dell'altrissima sensibilità del meccanismo di scatto , troppo sensibile secondo me .Chi è un pò pratico consiglio di dare una limata anche alla leva lunga del meccanismo in modo che si bacino due linguette piatte , anzicchè una piatta e una tonda , la sensibilità del meccasismo complessimo diminuisce, ma resta comunque su una soglia molto bassa tale da far scattare il meccanismo quando il topo poggia appena un pò di più la zampa. Per il resto è perfetta ! è proprio quello che cercavo , meccanismo davvero fantastico . Occhio alla taglia ! è abbastanza piccola come trappola , adatta come c'è scritto solo per i topolini di camapagna, per i ratti già credo sarebbe piccola.Non so perché, ma a differenza di un altro modello simile della stessa marca, che funziona, con questo in diversi anni non sono mai riuscito a catturare neanche un "intruso". Non mi spiego il motivo...Ho provato questa trappola dall'aspetto "tecnico" ma non funziona.E' complicata da armare , l'esca difficile da collocare, troppo piccola.Non vedo alcuna qualità da rilevare. E' il solito progetto a tavolino di qualcuno che non ha la minima pratica di tali cose.Buon prodotto ma solo per ambienti chiusi, fuori scatta subito .. Nel complessi meglio le classiche tagliole.In ambienti chiusi ,non essendoci sollecitazioni esterne (vento pioggia..) rischia di non saltare ... E il topo se ne va..L'oggetto di per se è funzionale ma per caricarla ci vuole una pazienza certosina. Difficoltoso il posizionamento dell'esca e ancora di più il suo caricamento. Le parti che dovrebbero rimanere a contatto per caricare la trappola, tendono a scivolare tra di loro con conseguente scaricamento anche dell'esca. Un'incubo purtroppo.Il prodotto non è funzionale, il tutto si basa sull'equilibrio di tre levette ed è molto precario come apertura/chiusura. Probabilmente nel mio caso le tre levette non sono state montate correttamente e quindi non funziona correttamente . Resa.Molto laboriosa da preparare, il meccanismo è molto delicato quando la di carica bisogna armarsi di infinita pazienza, si rischia di dover ripetere l’operazione all’infinito.So far I've caught 3 mice with a Big Cheese live trap. However the 4th (Barry) knew his stuff and wouldn't dare venture inside. I bought a Havahart instead and baited it with nuts amp; choc and Barry just couldn't help himself. Caught him within an hour after spending days looking at videos of him ignoring the others. I think the advantage is that they can see all the way through the trap, no need to push down any doors.Yes, it's a bit fiddly to set up and add bait, but I just used their YouTube video as a guide - didn't even read the instructions.I have video of Barry getting caught but can't find a way of uploading. Barry now lives near a nice barn 5 miles away...Works probably only 1 in 4 times. Caught a few mice but the number of times the mechanism failed to shut the door and the mice got a free feed significantly outweighed the catch ratio.... The mechanism is simply too basic. It relies on quite an exact positioning of the levers yet the quality of the metal work means that it catches and fails to shut far too often. It's also ridiculously hard to load the food in through the doors once the trap is set. If you have hands bigger than a 4 year old, you'll constantly trigger the mechanism that shuts the doors (if only it was this sensitive to the actual mice....) I found the best way was to sprinkle porridge oats on the top panel and then brush them through the gaps to land in the trap.On the plus side, it is a very humane way to catch the mice and the doors shut quite loudly so you can easily hear when it does,Difficult to set, but caught our furry little visitor very quickly once we got the hang of it - bait with peanut butter and chocolate for best results - had him sniffing around it right in front of us it was so alluring and by the morning he was well and truly trapped and later released safe and sound (and far away from our house). I was a bit concerned at first that our mousey would be too light to trigger it as it's quite a heavy duty trap and he was a teeny mouse, but it worked like a charm. We've now got it reset in the hope of catching his furry friend.This is awkward to use, particularly once you have caught a mouse and become concerned about hygiene issues. It is possible to remove the bars that fall into place to stop the mouse escaping. That makes loading bait easier but it is a tricky operation and the instructions are inadequate.On the plus side the trap caught three mice in a relatively short time. Another type of trap caught one and there are no signs of mice at the moment. All mice were released at more than three miles away with at least one small river and a stream between them and my house. Whether that is enough or whether they can survive, I don’t really know.I gave up trying to set up with both doors open. When I did finally have it set with the two doors open they didnt shut fully so the mouse got out. Now using it with the one door only and it is fine. Had been using the little green plastic ones that tilt the door shut but the mice were chewing their way out of them or knocking the door shut as they investigate then chewing to get to the nutella. Have caught a mouse every night now for 3 nights now and its never discoverd with bait gone and no mouse once I gave up on having two doors open.
